Artist Info

Trevor Crook spent years behind the drums, playing in bands and helping shape songs from the back of the stage. His love for drumming never went away, but somewhere along the way he picked up a guitar, started writing his own music, and found himself stepping into a much more vulnerable place.

His songs come from life on the road, from changing chapters, and from the realization of how scary it can be to become the person at the front of the stage. There is an honesty in his writing, shaped by coming of age, putting emotions out for everyone to see, and the fear of being left behind in a world that always seems to be moving too fast.

Trevor’s music lives in the world of indie folk, with the kind of road trip feeling that feels familiar in the best way. Think of that last song playing before you unload the car at the campsite for the weekend. Warm, reflective, a little nostalgic, and full of heart.

As a member of Johnson Crook, Trevor brought his talent as a drummer and co-writer to a successful band, along with a positive energy on stage. When Johnson Crook parted ways, Trevor left Toronto, Ontario and moved west to Minnedosa, Manitoba with his wife to begin a new chapter.

After a year, he started writing again, and that is where these songs really started to come to life.

Now working on his first solo album, Trevor is stepping forward with music that feels honest, nervous, and proud. After years behind the drums, he is putting himself out there in a new way.
