We're In This Together

I'm not sure how you got to this page, but you're here. This isn't relevant anymore but we're leaving it up because it was such a crazy time and we think it's worth remembering.

CONSIDER THIS PAGE ARCHIVED. It was written in March of 2020.

Wow. So, this isn't what any of us were expecting. But we are going to get through this together. We have been embraced by our community and we will continue to provide great food that always features local ingredients.

We wanted to share a little about how we're doing things now so that you know what to expect. At this time we are in continuous communication with Manitoba Health and our health inspector, updating our plans whenever new orders come down to ensure we meet or exceed all requirements, both provincially and federally.

Please note our current hours and watch for changes and updates on our social media feeds.

  • Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm
  • Sundays and Mondays CLOSED

New Ways to Enjoy Chez Angela

We have expanded our offerings and now provide a growing variety of from-scratch, home-cooked meals. Many are available as heat-and-serve or bake-and-serve. All meals come with your choice of sides, veggies and dessert or treats. We do all the prep, you just get to enjoy with your family. Visit our Multi-Meal Order Page for more info.

We offer curbside pickup and encourage you to call ahead so that we can have your order ready when you arrive. You can visit our daily menu, which is usually updated by 9am.

Finally, if you're looking for breakfast, lunch or supper, be sure to head over to our online pre-orders to select a meal and pay in advance. It's super easy to use, and it has all our most popular items. If you're not quite sure what you're looking for, be sure to check out our menu for descriptions on those items.

We're also providing group meals, luncheons and cold catering services in responsible, socially-distance friendly ways. Please call 204-721-0719 ext 3 for more information.

Shopping Safely

You're welcome to come inside! In our store you'll notice the café seating is gone. This will be the case for the foreseeable future as we have a narrow café and we are unable to both host a lineup for our goods and a seating area. We look forward to hosting you and your company again in the future, and can't wait to spend time in community with you.

For now, there are markers on the floor, a barrier at the till, dividers between the lineups, and a limit of 10 people in our shop. Our front of house staff are wearing masks, sanitizing surfaces and washing their hands all day long.

Precautions in our Bakeshop

In the bakeshop we are blessed to have a sprawling kitchen and space for everyone to work at safe distances. Our staff are wearing masks all day except for breaks. We've staggered start times and breaks to minimize the number of people in the staff room at once. Beyond that, we are maintaining the same level of cleanliness that we have since we opened and have enhanced our sanitation procedures to be even more frequent than required.

We continue to meet as a team once or twice a week, updating each other on numbers, sharing safety ideas and talking about serving our community safely. We talk through changes, challenge each other, and check in on health daily. We are not travelling, we are avoiding large gatherings and we're all hyper-aware of the trust that our community puts in us to keep them safe.

Catering Services

Whether we're on site, hosting in our café, setting up or serving a meal, we've found new creative ways to help you plan your event and to ensure that your guests find it easy to feel safe.

In addition to all the required controls put in place by the provice, we wash our hands between serving tables, have eliminated as much contact as possible and provide meals in ways that can be shared "family style" for household units or "individually" for other group gatherings where household units are not the norm. We help to supervise lines, we change gloves and wash hands frequently and our staff wear masks. Call us for more information.

And, as always, all our food is prepared from scratch in our government inspected commercial kitchen.

Thanks, This is For You

We started planning for the impacts of the pandemic back in February, but we could never have imagined how deep that would be. And we would not have made it this far without your support.

From the bottom of our collective hearts, thank you for continuing to make us part of your grocery run and inviting us to be at your table. Everything we do, all the ways we adapt, all the areas in which we try to grow and improve is so that we can serve you better. Please continue to provide your feedback, ideas and support on the road ahead.
