After Hours Culinary Concert Series

After Hours is our way of welcoming people into a different kind of evening at the cafe. We slow the room down, set the tables with care, and make space for music, dinner, and conversation to unfold at an easy pace. It still feels like Chez Angela, just with the lights lowered and the details turned up.

We shape the series in seasons. Downtown Jazz carries us through the cooler months, and Downtown Mix Tape, or just Mix Tape, brings in a wider mix of traditions, styles, and sounds in the spring. Each program gives us a new reason to rethink the room, the menu, and the kind of welcome we want to offer that night.

If you know us as a daytime cafe, the shift can be a little surprising at first. By the time guests arrive, the room has been reset for the night with linens, candlelight, thoughtful table settings, and a small stage worked into the space. We take that transition seriously because hospitality is part of the performance too.

The menu matters just as much as the music. We build each evening around dishes that feel right for the season, the artists, and the mood of the room, with the same care we bring to everything we serve. After Hours gives us a chance to be a little more indulgent with service, pacing, and presentation, while still keeping the evening comfortable and sincere.
